This is a large, solidly built family house in an architecturally outstanding residential quarter (Neve Zin). The rooms are comfortable and easy on the eye, large shaded garden, in the summer all meals may be eaten outdoors in privacy.
In the garden is a small enclosure for chickens, rabbits and other animals for your children to touch and enjoy.

The village
Ben Gurion Campus is a village which contains the following: The Blaustein Institute for desert research, the Ben Gurion Archive, the Ben Gurion Heritage Foundation, and the burial place of David Ben Gurion and his wife Paula. 28 km from the nearest town, it is smack in the middle of spectacular desert scenery, overlooking the Zin National Park. It is home to about 250 families, mainly academics employed in the village, and also has a residential post-grad student population from more than 50 countries. There is a supermarket, restaurant and post office, and a large un-crowded swimming pool (guests must pay) from June to October.
Geography
Ben Gurion Campus is located on Route 40*, 35 km south of Beer Sheva, 28 km north of Mitzpe Ramon. It is 2 hours drive from Tel Aviv, 2.5 hours from the center of Jerusalem, 2.5 hours from Eilat. Average annual rainfall 90mm. 300+ sunny days per year, in the summer there is a cool northwesterly breeze that comes up every afternoon and continues until dusk. Sitting on a plateau 300 meters above sea level, the village has a similar climate to that of Jerusalem but dryer, and it is a lot cooler than the Arava. Ben Gurion Campus is on the bird migratory route Eurasia-Africa, and we get birdwatchers from all over the world (see Lonely Planet)
